Welcome to Andercon 2015, a chance to celebrate and explore the worlds of Gerry Anderson – creator of shows like Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Fireball XL5, Space 1999, Terrahawks and many more!

In planning Andercon 2015, we’ve taken on board a lot of the feedback from last year’s event, and we’re creating an unconventional convention – something very different and very unique… so expect the unexpected!

So, what can you expect and what’s different from last year?

Two Venues! We’re launching a weekend of Anderson celebrations on Friday June 12th at the Phoenix Cinema and Arts Centre with a programme of presentations, talks and screenings. The programme will be announced in the coming weeks, but will include a special talk and presentation by researcher and author Sean Feast – writer of a new book: A Thunderbird at Bomber Command. The book rewrites significant chunks of Anderson history and we’re thrilled that we’re opening our weekend with such a personal look at Gerry’s early life and influences

In using the Phoenix Cinema & Arts Centre for our launch, we’re keeping the main event firmly under wraps until the Saturday morning, when doors will open at 10am at the Athena, our stunning 1930s Art Deco cinema where attendees will find themselves immersed in the worlds of Gerry Anderson.

The Main Event:

Working with a number of collectors and groups, we’ll be celebrating Gerry’s work with displays of original puppets alongside a full timeline of principle puppet cast members from Gerry’s Supermarionation shows. We’ll also be displaying instantly recognisable props costumes and models.

We’ll also be looking forward to the future with previews and exclusive content from Anderson Entertainment’s newest productions – from the new Gemini Force One books, to Audio Terrahawks, Zeroids vs Cubes and, of course, the new Ultramarionation show; Firestorm!

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be screening a full program of selected Anderson episodes as well as rare items from the archives – many in HD and all on the big screen, giving you the opportunity to experience these shows as never before. Guests and production personnel will also be on hand, discussing the shows and celebrating a number of Anderson celebrations.

We are thrilled to announce our first guests – Special Effects genius Brian Johnson, and, celebrating 50 years of Thunderbirds, actors Shane Rimmer, David Graham and Matt Zimmerman.

More guests and display content will be announced in the coming weeks.

Andercon 2015. An unconventional Convention. A full weekend of activities, a chance to catch up with friends old and new, and a few surprises along the way… all this and FAB Café too!

Expect the Unexpected!
